Loreal Prystaj (b. 1990) is an interdisciplinary artist born in New York, US and is currently based in London, UK. Hailing from the Royal College of Art, London and graduated with an MA in Photography in 2019.

Prystaj explores themes of consciousness, storytelling, and mysticism through various media, including photography, moving-image, sculpture, and sound. Her work is influenced by psychoanalysis, archetypal symbolism and surrealism, highlighting the psychological imprint of the environment on the individual or collective. Through her ongoing dialogue, she invites viewers to explore their consciousness and the role they play in shaping their environment.

Prystaj’s work has been exhibited globally, including Photo London, Arles Photo Festival, MIA Photo fair and so on. She has also been selected for artist residencies, including SWAP UK/Ukraine, and has received numerous arts awards and nominations, including the Queen Elizabeth Trust Fund and 100 Heroines by the Royal Photography Society. Her work has been published in various publications including The Guardian.
