写真を見るとついつい「どこで撮影したんだろう?」と考えますよね? 本展はこの疑問をキーワードに、緑区観光大使「みどりっち」と一緒に緑区を散歩するような鑑賞体験 を創出したいと考えました。 特別写真展「WE LOVE MIDORI」は、名古屋市緑区制60周年記念事業です。

GROWING SPACE と名古屋市緑区役所地域力推進室のコラボレーションプログラムとして、過去に 同区が開催した「2020 / 2021 緑区フォトコンテスト」の入賞作品を展示しながら、あらためて緑区の 魅力を感じる機会となることを目指しています。

会期中の8月9日は野球の日。スポーツ記念日の一つとして認定されています。当日には、アートとスポ ーツを横断しながら子供向けにイベントを開催いたします。夏休み中の子供たちが笑顔になれるきっ かけ / 緑区でのよい思い出の一つとなるような場となりますように!

In the contemplation of a photograph, an inevitable question often arises: “Where might this have been taken?” It’s a question mark that often coincides with the viewing experience. This very question, serving as our guiding keyword for the exhibition of WE LOVE MIDORI, we invite visitors to a leisurely stroll through Midori Ward, accompanied by the Midori Ward Tourism Ambassador, a mascot named “Midorich“.

This special photography exhibition stands as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of Midori Ward in Nagoya City. In a collaborative endeavour between GROWING SPACE and the Midori Ward Office, this exhibition takes form to rekindle the charm of Midori Ward, by showcasing the archive of prize-winning photographs from the previously held Midori Ward Photo Contest in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

During the exhibition period, on the 9th of August, which is known as the Baseball Day in Japan. On this very day, the convergence between art and sports unfolds for the younger audience, offering a fun experience that bridges these two worlds. Amidst the summer holiday season, we would like to celebrate the Baseball Day by welcoming children and parents to participate in a series of event held in GROWING SPACE and Batting LALALA Midori, encapsulating an indelible memory woven into the tapestry of Midori Ward.
