Handmade by the artist in Gifu, Japan exclusively for SYNONYM; item located in Nagoya, Japan. “アンテナを張る”, literally translates into ‘keeping your antenna up’, meaning ‘keeping an ear to the ground’ – imbuing with such idea, in this series of works Yajima created for the presentation, inspired by the traditional Oribe-yaki the artist nurtured a family of sculptural potteries including Koukishin-Kun and Kyoumishin-Kun which has never been witnessed in the history of Mino potteries.
